We’ve got something going on every week at The Chequers - from live music every Friday & Saturday, to our popular Quiz Night every Wednesday at 8pm. We also host special events throughout the year, including seasonal parties and comedy nights, so there’s always a reason to join us! Check out our events happening soon below.

  • MARCH

    Friday 13th March | 8pm: Springish

    Springish is bringing the Celtic energy with some early St Patricks Day celebrations, high energy Irish folk, singalongs, jigs and reels.

    Saturday 14th March | 10pm: Duvet Dogs

    Friday 20th March | 8pm: Nick Woods

    Nick will be setting the mood with an acoustic set to ease you into the evening.

    Saturday 21st March | 8pm: Clea Llewellyn

    Acoustic set, a talented singer-songwriter and guitarist bringing soulful vocals and beautifully stripped back acoustic vibes.

    Friday 27th March | 8pm: Anthony Martin

    A Kent-based singer-songwriter sharing heartfelt, honest songs inspired by real life and real stories.

    Saturday 28th March | 8pm: Cocktail Hour

    Liam and Dan, 2 piece acoustic cover band.

    APRIL

    Thursday 2nd April | 8pm: Brothers From Another Cover

    A four-piece function band, based in Kent. Their mission is to entertain. Covering all the classics from across the eras, as well as requests! A fun start to the Easter weekend!

    Friday 3rd April | 8pm: Ross Harding

    Ross is a dark blues artist, known for his commanding voice, emotive depth and distinctive guitar style.

    Saturday 4th April | 8pm: The Hysterics

    A 4-piece southern desert-rock powerhouse, channelling the grit and swagger of Kings of Leon and Queens of the Stone Age into a high-voltage live show.

    Sunday 5th April | 7:30pm: Dan Olsen

    An international award-winning singer-songwriter and producer based in London, specialising in indie-pop.

    Friday 10th April | 8pm: The Woodcutters

    A regular with us! The Woodcutters trio play versions of the classics through to decent stuff from recent years.

    Saturday 11th April | 8pm: Blue Cat Band

    The 40th anniversary of the genesis of their band. 80’s electronic/new romantic/new wave tracks with occasional curve balls that please the crowd.

    Friday 17th April | 8pm: Stormy T & Bluesman Lane

    A 4-piece Hastings-based blues band, playing traditional rhythm and blues, swing and funk from the 1930s to the 2000s.

    Saturday 18th April | 8pm: Adam Green

    Indie/folk/rock and pop soloist with a loop station.

    Friday 24th April | 8pm: deciBel

    Acoustic band with percussive guitar, resounding sax, smooth vocals plus creative strings and brass. Playing a diverse mix of new and old covers.

    Saturday 25th April | 8pm: On The Note

    A high energy performance with a diverse range from classic hits to modern anthems.

    Kick things off with Brothers From Another Cover, bringing high-energy covers and crowd favourites to start the weekend in style.

    Friday 3rd April – 8:30pm
    Enjoy an evening with the talented South African-born, UK-based artist Ross Harding - timeless spirit of the blues into the present.

    Saturday 4th April – 8:30pm
    The party continues with The Hysterics, guaranteed to get everyone singing and dancing.

    Sunday 5th April – 7:30pm
    Wrap up the Easter weekend with the fantastic Dan Olsen, an international award-winning singer-songwriter and producer based in London, specialising in indie-pop.

    Saturday 2nd May | 8pm: Strawbricks

    The Strawbricks bring the energy with footstompin' country classics and barn dance! With years of experience performing live shows and running barn dances all over the world, you're in for a good ol' time with The Strawbricks as they raise the roof with popular songs!

    Friday 8th May | 8pm: Riff ‘n’ Western

    Country soul from Sussex. Live music that gets the boots moving!

    Saturday 9th May | 8pm: Giles Stelfox

    Giles has become a regular here at The Chequers. His unique sound fuses hard hitting indie guitars, live drums and the synth pop soundscapes.

    Friday 15th May | 8pm: Springish

    Springish are back again! Livewire Celtic comprising Tim Springett (vocals guitar and mandolin) and Matthew English (fiddle) playing high-energy singalongs, jigs and reels

    Saturday 16th May | 8pm: Tom Cole & Henry Bristow

    Combining Tom’s finesse for all things Folk and Americana with Henry’s virtuoso violin playing and the opportunity to incorporate traditional jigs and reels both from America and the British Isles (and further afield as well!)

    Friday 22nd May | 8pm: Reptilia

    Reptilia are back! Specialising in indie, alternative rock and modern party rock covers.

    Saturday 23rd May | 8pm: Christy

    He has cited Ray Charles, John Martyn, and Chet Baker as his musical influences. His music has also been compared to Jeff Buckley, Chris Martin, and Bon Iver, as well as Paolo Nutini and Alabama Shakes.

    Friday 29th May | 8pm: SEIA

    SEIA is an 18 year old pianist and singer-songwriter performing covers by Billy Joel, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Oasis and more!

    Saturday 30th May | 8pm: Crazy Water Common

    Starks’ rhythmic and articulate guitar style alongside the sympathetic, understated banjo and pedal-steel-guitar playing of Wicks create a powerful foundation for their thought-provoking songwriting. Providing a unique take upon the ever-broadening genre of Americana, has already garnered significant attention from their musical peers and audiences alike.

    Saturday 20th June | 8pm: Ross Black

    Ross Harding is a South African-born, UK-based Dark Blues artist, known for his powerful voice, raw emotion, and masterful guitar work.

    Friday 26th June | 8pm: The Woodcutters

    The Woodcutters are a Sussex-based a/trio specialising in pop-rock covers, folk-rock and upbeat acoustic music. They play 6-string and 12-string guitars, upright bass and stompboxes, featuring three-part vocal harmonies.

    Saturday 27th June | 8pm: Riff ‘N’ Western

    Country soul from Sussex. Live music that gets the boots moving!

    UNIT 48 is a Kent-based band specialising in funky, soulful and jazzy live music!

    Country/indie singer. You'll hear music from the likes of Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, James Morrison, Teddy Swims and more!

    Friday 10th July | 8pm: The Paper Castles

    A band from Maidstone, playing hits from the 60s to the present day!

    Saturday 11th July | 8pm: The Resolve

    Introducing The Resolve – indie rock sensation! With a distinctive sound that's impossible to ignore. Their music is all about big songs that pack a punch, choruses that'll have you singing along for days and riffs that will send shivers down your spine!
