We’ve got something going on every week at The Chequers - from live music every Friday & Saturday, to our popular Quiz Night every Wednesday at 8pm. We also host special events throughout the year, including seasonal parties and comedy nights, so there’s always a reason to join us! Check out our events happening soon below.

  • FEBRUARY

    Friday 20th February | 8pm: Clea Llewellyn Band

    Clea Llewellyn Band play upbeat and soulful originals and covers from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Stevie Wonder.

    Saturday 21st February | 8pm: Christy

    Christy has become a well loved regular here at The Chequers. He has cited Ray Charles, John Martyn and Chet Baker as his musical influences. His music has also been compared to Jeff Buckley, Chris Martin, and Bon Iver as well as Paolo Nutini and Alabama Shakes.

    Friday 27th February | 8pm: Dukes of Swing

    A swing and jazz group from Kent playing all the well tunes you love!

    Saturday 28th February | 8pm: Riff n’Western

    Country soul from Sussex. Live music that gets the boots moving!

    Friday 6th March | 8pm: The 77s

    Specialising in crowd-pleasing rock covers that get guests singing, dancing and having the time of their lives. 

    Saturday 7th March | 8pm: Unit 48

    Funk/jazz/soul band based in Kent.

    Friday 13th March | 8pm: Springish

    Springish is bringing the Celtic energy with some early St Patricks Day celebrations, high energy Irish folk, singalongs, jigs and reels.

    Saturday 14th March | 8pm: TBC

    Friday 20th March | 8pm: Nick Woods

    Nick will be setting the mood with an acoustic set to ease you into the evening.

    Saturday 21st March | 8pm: Clea Llewellyn

    Acoustic set, a talented singer-songwriter and guitarist bringing soulful vocals and beautifully stripped back acoustic vibes.

    Friday 27th March | 8pm: Anthony Martin

    A Kent-based singer-songwriter sharing heartfelt, honest songs inspired by real life and real stories.

    Saturday 28th March | 8pm: Cocktail Hour

    Liam and Dan, 2 piece acoustic cover band.

    The Chequers is proud to host a whisky tasting experience like no other, led by whisky connoisseur Cat Gordon.

    Living and working on Islay, Scotland, Cat has developed her deep whisky knowledge through hands-on experience in distilleries, specialising in private tastings and spirit production. Her passion for Scotch and the stories behind each dram brings this tasting to life.

    Enjoy a hand-picked selection of exclusive Islay whiskies as we explore flavour profiles, cask influence, and the rich history behind each pour.
