We’ve got something going on every week at The Chequers - from live music every Friday & Saturday, to our popular Quiz Night every Wednesday at 8pm. We also host special events throughout the year, including seasonal parties and comedy nights, so there’s always a reason to join us! Check out our events happening soon below.

    Friday 28th November | 8pm: AnnA Incontro Duo

    Come and join AnnA for a Friday night full of high notes!

    Saturday 29th November | 8pm: G.E.M

    G.E.M are a Kent based acoustic trio focusing on strong vocal harmonies, guitar & percussion loops with country roots.

    Friday 5th December | 8pm: Paul Malsom & Alex Lovell

    Classic jazz tunes such as “Georgia on My Mind”, “Misty” and “All of Me”, also covering tunes by Amy Winehouse, Barry Manilow and Michael Jackson with guitar and loop station.

    Saturday 6th December @ 8pm: Christy O’Donnell

    O'Donnell grew up listening to Robbie Williams as his teacher would put it on in class. He has cited Ray Charles, John Martyn, and Chet Baker as his musical influences. His music has also been compared to Jeff Buckley, Chris Martin, and Bon Iver as well as Paolo Nutini and Alabama Shakes.

    Friday 12th December | 8pm: Joe West

    Joe's third gig at The Chequers! An acoustic country & Indie singer-songwriter. You'll hear music from the likes of Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, James Morrison, Teddy Swims & more!

    Saturday 13th December | 8pm: The Woodcutters

    The Woodcutters are a Sussex-based acoustic duo and trio, playing versions of the classics through to decent stuff from recent years.

    Friday 19th December | 8pm: Ross Harding

    Ross is back! Ross Harding is a South African-born, UK-based Dark Blues artist, known for his powerful voice, raw emotion, and masterful guitar work. Blending the grit of rock with the soul of the blues.

    Saturday 20th December | 8pm: Stormy T & Bluesman Lane

    Stormy-T and Bluesman's Lane is a four-piece Hastings-based Blues band. We play traditional Rhythm & Blues, Swing, Blues & Funk from the 1930s to the 2000s.

    Wednesday 24th December | 8pm: Giles Stelfox

    Giles Stelfox is a solo-artist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Reading, UK; his unique sound fuses hard hitting indie guitars, live drums and synth pop soundscapes.

    Giles will be joining us on Christmas Eve for some festive tunes to get you in the spirit!

    Friday 26th December | 8pm: Elevator Duo

    A couple South East Kent boys bringing you a diverse mix of recognisable covers & a few originals.

    Saturday 27th December | 8pm: Sylvid

    Soulful-trad female folk duo with an Appalachian leaning.

    You’ll learn step-by-step how to craft your very own Christmas wreath using fresh seasonal foliage and decorative touches - perfect for your front door or as a festive gift. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned crafter, this is a relaxed, welcoming workshop designed for everyone.
